Johan van Amersfoort is someone I get to speak to once in a while, and is responsible for lots of cool EUC solutions, but most notably, the VDI Design Guide.
He has just completed the update to this book, and is offering it up for free download! Print versions coming in the next month or two.

The team ran across this one again just recently, & thought I’d share.
If you are ever loose access to your vCenter server, or if you are doing an upgrade, and have a certificate issue….
The VMware KB Article 79428 covers the issue & resolution.

VMware Snapshots – best practices for Performance
Funny though….vSAN & VMFS perform pretty much the same.
vVols is king of the performance world here when discussing snapshots (this is due to vVols using the backend SAN for handling snaps MUCH more efficiently….)
Wonder when vSAN & VMFS based snapshots will get rewritten…

This free upgrade is coming by end of year (we’ll see).
It is starting to look like macOS.

The Nutanix Bible has recently gotten an update.
Always a great source of information on how the Nutanix platform functions.
Lots of little improvements, that just make this very long document much easier to consume.
