VMware CBT bug – revisited after 8 years….
Remember 2015 when vSphere 6 had a CBT bug?
No….lucky you.
I remember, and had a customer impacted for weeks!
This affects vSphere 8.0 Update 2.
CBT’s QueryChangedDiskAreas may lose some data changed on the disk after disk is hot-extended. It only happens on ESXi 8.0u2

No more potential to renew S&S for Perpetual licensing…all subscription.
They mention a price reduction for VCF licenses.

Southwest Airlines – $140 million dollar fine
Remember December 2022, and the massive issue for the airlines caused by storms?
Many speculate that inadequate IT infrastructure and aging apps (for its staff) were a big part of the issue.
“The company said the service meltdown cost it nearly $1.2 billion between the fourth quarter of last year and the first two months of 2023.“
Guess spending some money on modernization could have helped out here….

Many of us have Xfinity. Time to change your passwords (when attempting to connect, you are forced to change your password a day after this happened).
Local media have a story on it, and so does TechCrunch….
All of a result of CitrixBleed (which was patched in October).
Another reason to keep your systems up to date and patched!!!

Now its back!
Can’t imagine it went offline JUST to get the new logo in place….
