Windows Servers stuck in reboot?
Another botched update causing us some unplanned work.
Windows Update, patches released on 1/11, has been causing Domain Controllers to be stuck in a reboot loop.
Fix is to remove the recent update.
This post covers the problem, and has the commands to uninstall the problematic update.

Microsoft finds macOS bug?
Never thought I would write those words in that order…
The bug has to do with the vulnerability, powerdir
Time to do those updates!

VMware 2022
Kit Colbert, Senior VP and CTO of VMware, highlights what VMware is focusing on in 2022.
Cloud, Security, App delivery, Work Anywhere, AI/ML, and of course, Blockchain.
Kinda sad (to me anyway) that there is no specific mention of making the foundational products secure out of the box, or even stable to run.

VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) – getting the most from it
This 3rd party post I came across is not deep.
This just goes into the advantages that you get with NSX-T and Advanced Load Balancer, in plain English.

vRNI (vRealize Network Insight) 6.5 now available
Guided network troubleshooting, deeper integration with Cisco ACI and VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi), and a handful of other (hopefully) useful items.
vRNI uses Log4j, though this release already has the remediations completed.

PowerCLI 12.5 released
Support for the VCSA VAMI? finally!
Update-Module -Name VMware.PowerCLI
BUT….you may have a problem with the certificate.
VMware’s answer is to remove the OLD PowerCLI (delete) from your machine, and then run the following as if it is a net new install
Install-Module -Name VMware.PowerCLI -Scope CurrentUser

Nutanix Playbooks (X-Play) – Getting Started
If you’re running Nutanix Prism Central, and are relatively up to date with the version, you have Nutanix Playbooks.
I’m a big fan playbooks, as you can automate manual tasks, set up workflows based on events, and integrate into other systems like Ansible, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, and of course, Slack.
This Nutanix Blog post links to all the relevant content to get started.
