Nice post by VMware on this topic….BUT
Wouldn’t it just be easier to handle the orchestration for the users, so that this post would not need to exist?
This is usually only noticed by folks when an upgrade to VCSA is about to happen….why not build the check & cleanup tool here automatically?

DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) started VMS in 1975 (wiki link).
Found this article on The Register, and apparently, there is a community license, and walkthrough for building this as a VM.
