vSphere vTPM (Virtual TPM) – Q&A
As new tech gets released, you must always have a conversation about the details of implementing it.
TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a chip that is installed in a physical server, with 1 job…to provide security-related functions (more in the first paragraph).
vTPM can be used without a TPM in the ESXi hosting the VMs.
This has been around since vSphere 6.7.
VMware Blog post is here, and answer a lot of the most common questions.
