VMware on AWS – up in the air?….nope. On solid Ground
So been hearing rumblings that VMC on AWS may no longer be available.
This has no bearing on running the GCP or Azure offerings….just AWS.
VMC on AWS is still there, it is just transacted differently.

Dec 11 – Broadcom simplifies Licensing.
Dec 11 – VMware Horizon & VMware Carbon Black “up for sale”
Dec 21 – Broadcom hands VMware Partners “Termination Notice”
Dec 29 – Broadcom ending VMware Channel Program.
Jan 8 – William Lam Highlighting VCF and VVF and other offerings
Jan 17 -Himanshu Singh posted VVF (VMware vSphere Foundations)
Jan 16 – Aria Simplification (licesnsing, cause its part of VCF now)
(VCF – vCloud Cloud Foundation, and VVF – VMware vSphere Foundation)
Jan 22 – VMware blog post discussing end of availability, and what the new product offerings are (as there has been perceived miscommunication….

It amazes me how many people don’t use Password Managers.
I’ve been biased to 1Password for over 10 years…
Note a 50% discount ($18) for 1 year subscription near the bottom…
Even Mercedes-Benz had a breach, though poor password/key management.
